People can't stop buzzing about Red Dead Redemption 2, and for good reason. A prequel to the 2010 original release, the game received universal acclaim even before its debut on October 26, 2018. Naturally, the Easter eggs in RDR 2 get a lot of buzz, and the game garners immense applause from critics and fans alike. It tells the story of outlaw Van der Linde crew members Arthur Morgan and John Marston, among other memorable characters

Hidden references in video games aren't a new concept, but the Easter eggs in RDR 2 may blow your mind. The game's creators went to great lengths, crafting layers of secrets and surprises for players. Let's take a look at the things you might have missed in Red Dead Redemption 2.

The 'GTA' Prophecy

A time traveling prophecy from Grand Theft Auto 5 is referenced in RDR 2. A side mission in the game called "Geology for Beginners" starts with an encounter with Francis Sinclair. Sinclair has some unusual physical characteristics, including a birthmark over his right eye. He'll ask you to go on a mission and find funny rock carvings. After finding all 10 of them, you'll return to discover Sinclair traveled through time.

How does this tie into GTA 5? In that game's Epsilon Program mission, cult leader Chris Formage has 12 tenants for enlightenment, revealing the existence of aliens. The eighth tenant references people with a specific birthmark who are descendants of "Kraff, the famous Emperor of the 4th Paradigm."

The Hobbit House

One of the coolest Easter eggs in RDR 2 is the hobbit house. It's oddly similar to the famous house from J.R.R. Tolkien's classic Lord of the Rings series. It's not an exact recreation, but it's close enough to make for an amusing discovery.

To get there, make your way towards Bacchus Station near Donner Falls. You won't miss it.

The Bigfoot Skeleton

To get to Bigfoot's skeleton in RDR 2, start by climbing Mount Shann. At the top, find a flat area, and you should be able to see an eagle. That's where the giant's bones rest. The eagle will fly away, but if you look to the left of its perch, a path will appear. Follow behind some plants, and you'll find a cave holding the skeleton.

ManBearPig

You read that right - there's a ManBearPig in RDR 2. The infamous South Park character can be found to the left of Van Horn Trading Post, in a house where some seriously disturbing experiments seemed to occur. With the exception of a pair of wings, the creature looks exactly like the Al Gore creation from the animated comedy series.

South Park apparently got in on the joke, making several RDR 2 references in the Season 22 episode "Time To Get Cereal," which of course includes Gore and ManBearPig.
