Rolling Stones parody album covers honor what many call the greatest rock band of all time by using their album art, alongside their music, as an influence. If the greatest form of flattery is imitation, these bands and musical artists show a great deal of love and respect for the Rolling Stones as they released album covers directly inspired by those of the Stones.

The Rolling Stones have spanned generations with their clues rock style of music and the two dozen Rolling Stones studio albums over their half-century career put them squarely among the elite as one of the best rock bands of all time. With such mainstream success and commercial appeal, it's no wonder that artists and bands that followed in their footsteps would rely on the Rolling Stones for musical and artistic inspiration.

Some bands choose to let their influences show through in their music while others will pay tribute to their influences by imitating or parodying their album covers. There is no shortage of album covers to choose from but certain Rolling Stones album covers are parodied more than others.

Perhaps the most used album cover is the iconic release of Sticky Fingers from 1971. The original album cover, which displayed the image of the crotch section of a man wearing blue jeans, came with a real working belt and zipper, which could be opened to expose men's brief underwear. Few other artists chose to recreate the working zipper, but many went on to use images of a man wearing jeans for their own album covers. Not to brag, but everyone from Bruce Springsteen, Motley Crue and the Eagles of Death Metal have released similar album covers.

Not to leave other great albums out, the simplicity of the Stones' Beggars Banquet, the landscape image of their Their Satanic Majesties Request and bizarre cake-like scene of Let It Bleed, among many others, have also been parodied by other artists. So if somehow you were not already convinced that the Rolling Stones are one of the best bands of all time, let these tributes to the British rockers speak for themselves.
