It can be cathartic to get in touch with your emotions by listening to sad songs. There are a lot of great ‘80s sad songs if you’re looking to make an emotional playlist. 

So, what are some of the best sad ‘80s songs? "Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want This Time," by The Smiths is definitely one of the most memorable depressing ‘80s songs. It’s featured during one of the saddest moments of the John Hughes ‘80s classic, Pretty in Pink. "With or Without You" by U2 is another example of sad ‘80s music. There are a good number of sad ‘80s love songs as well.
