The Star Wars universe is crazy dangerous. There are just so many ways to die in that place. With giant man-eating creatures around every turn, blasters that can kill in one shot, lightsabers, and the power of the Force, Star Wars death scenes abound. Some you're okay with - one fewer stormtrooper to get past isn't a bad thing for our heroes - but then there are the tragic scenes you'll find on this list of sad Star Wars deaths, the ones that make you feel the feels.

From broken hearts to betrayal by family members, lightsaber duels to old age, the saddest Star Wars character deaths come in many forms. Even for characters not involved in the seemingly constant conflicts tearing the galaxy apart, there are still plenty of things out there that can kill you. From sand monsters to death beams raining from the sky, the ways to die in Star Wars are endless.
