The horror movie genre can be a polarizing one. Some fans can't get enough, whether it be vampires, zombies, or just a classic spirit possession. Others watch from behind their hands with the lights on. So when a comedy spoofing the genre came out it had something for everyone. There were inside jokes and callbacks that true fans of horror films would get, but there was also over-the-top slapstick comedy for those fans that just wanted to laugh.

No matter where you fall on the horror movie spectrum, we can all agree that these details are scary good! Vote up your favorites!

Scream had a star of a sitcom as their high school principal, so naturally Scary Movie had to get one too. Redditor u/nybadfish breaks it down:

In Scream, Principal Himbry was played by Henry Winkler, who also played The Fonz from the hit TV show, Happy Days. Principal Squiggman in the parody, Scary Movie, who was played by David L. Lander also played Squiggy, who was a parody of The Fonz on Laverne and Shirley.
