The plot of the film is, admittedly, bonkers, but the feminist discourse surrounding the film shouldn't take away from the fact that it is genuinely blood-curdling terrifying and will give audiences exactly what they want from a scary werewolf movie.
Not only one of the most underrated werewolf movies of all time but one of the most underrated horror movies in decades, Dog Soldiers is a sadistic, original, and brilliant new-age take on the lycan plague that had seemingly died out in mainstream horror. Following a group of soldiers as they attempt to survive against a horde of ravenous werewolves looking to annihilate them, Dog Soldiers is a non-stop thrill ride that will shock, appeal, entertain, and freak out anyone brave enough to watch.
When Universal Studios announced they were making a remake of their classic werewolf film The Wolf Man, fans were overcome with joy and excitement to see one of their favorite horror characters return to the silver screen.
