'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows' movie quotes include some of the most clever lines uttered by the great Sherlock Holmes and his trusty assistant (and sometime friend), Dr. Watson. 'A Game of Shadows' is the sequel to 2009's 'Sherlock Holmes,' reuniting Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law and director Guy Ritchie. See a quote on this list that you loved? Vote it up. 'Sherlock Holmes' 2 finds Holmes and Dr. John Watson once again trying to solve a mystery. Watson has moved on with his life - getting married and preparing for a long honeymoon with his bride. Sherlock, of course, has other ideas, and Watson finds himself smack in the middle of yet another adventure. Together, Holmes and Watson must outwit evil criminal mastermind Professor James Moriarty (Jared Harris), with help from gypsy fortune teller Sim (Noomi Rapace). Some of the greatest quotes from 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows' are actually quite funny. No one trades barbs like Holmes and Watson!

You'd Lose

Professor Moriaty: "Are you sure you want to play this game?"
Sherlock Holmes: "I'm afraid you'd lose."

Professor James Moriarty becomes enemy number one in 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.' Unfortunately, Professor Moriarty is equally as intelligent as Sherlock Holmes. Not a good situation for Holmes, but it makes for an epic struggle (and a great movie) for everyone else!

Missed You, Holmes

Dr. John Watson: "Oh, how I've missed you, Holmes."
Sherlock Holmes: "Have you? Why...I've barely noticed your absence."

Pretty safe to assume that Dr. Watson is kidding about missing Holmes, but maybe not: Holmes definitely makes his buttoned-up, by-the-book life much more interesting (and dangerous). Holmes probably hasn't noticed his absence at all - he's been busy with his research, designing his own "urban camouflage."

Most Important Case

Sherlock Holmes: "I'm knee-deep in the single most important case of my career."

Aren't all of Sherlock Holmes' cases the most important of his career? To be fair, this is definitely a challenge. Professor Moriarty has no qualms about destroying the world. Solving this puzzle will take all of Holmes' (and Watson's) best efforts.

Verging on Psychotic

Dr. Watson: "You do seem..."
Sherlock Holmes: "Excited?"
Dr. Watson: "Manic."
Sherlock Holmes: "I am."
Dr. Watson: "Verging on..."
Sherlock Holmes: "Eclectic?"
Dr. Watson: "Psychotic. I should have brought you a sedative."

Oh Dr. Watson, when will you ever learn? Holmes is insane, yes, and no one would blame you if you wanted to drug him into oblivion - but then, how would you solve all your cases? The "bromance" between Watson and Holmes was one of the best things about the 2009 movie to me, and it looks as if it will continue in 'A Game of Shadows.'
