Many scary stories don't need a lot of unnecessary words. In a few short sentences, a tale can reveal just enough details to stick in your mind. Laughing In The Basement

From an anonymous Redditor:

"'I think I just heard someone laughing in your basement.'

'This house doesn't have a basement.'"

Mr. Rabbit Came Back

From an anonymous Redditor:

"They found the child sitting calmly atop the fence post, dried blood on her coveralls, smoke blowing up behind her. 'Mr. Rabbit came back,' she said, 'and he took them all away.'"

They Sang To The Boy

From utterdamnnonsense:

"They sang loudly to the little boy, so he wouldn't hear his mother's screams. "Jesus Loves You," they sang."

On The Space Station

From Mistel:

"The entire space station was dead silent. I looked outside and two yellow eyes peered back at me."
