He Is Socially Stunted Because Of How Long He Spent In Azkaban Isolation

    From Redditor u/DefconDelta88:

His social interaction effectively ends at 22, and he spends such a long time in Azkaban that by the time he manages to escape and begins forming a bond with Harry, you can really clearly see how stunted his social development really is, and he is more or less aware of that. I think there's a desperate need to rekindle some semblance of his past friendships so he can feel connected to the world around him, but there are undeniable changes that are difficult to cope with. Remus is the only old friend he has left, and Remus is even more aware of Sirius's awkward mental state, so there's always that disconnect.

He Was Treated Worse By His Family After Being Sorted To Gryffindor

    From Redditor u/chocfrogaddict:

He spent his childhood being treated like crap for being different from his family, especially after being sorted into Gryffindor, lost the only family he has when he was 21 and spent the next 13 years in jail for a murder he didn't commit.
