"Skyfall" movie quotes follow the action in the 23rd installment in the James Bond spy film series. The action film, which released on October 26, 2012, in the United Kingdom and November 9, 2012, in the United States, was written by John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, and directed by Dam Mendes.
In "Skyfall," Agent 007 James Bond (Daniel Craig, in this third role as Bond) is called in after a hard drive containing information on undercover agents working within terror organizations is stolen. Bond is able to locate the thief but in the pursuit is shot by fellow MI6 agent Eve Moneypenny (Naomie Harris), goes missing and is presumed dead. In the wake of the incident, MI6 leader M (Judi Dench) is forced to step down but the fight to contain that top-secret agent data continues.
James Bond continues his mission which leads him to a casino where he meets beauty Sévérine (Bérénice Marlohe) and is warned that her employer, former MI6 agent turned rogue Raiul Silva (Javier Bardem), is trying to kill him. The battle between Bond and Silva continues and takes both of them to a tiny little town in Scotland in which Bond was raised, Skyfall, but only one can win that epic fight.
A quick game of word association between Doctor Hall and James Bond soon turns into a mission assignment meeting when Bond is tasked with returning to his childhood home of Skyfall, Scotland.
Possibly having more lives than your average nine-life cat, James Bond returns from being presumed dead when the duty calls. For him, resurrection is not a miracle, but rather a hobby.
Eve Moneypenny: "I may have a shot. It's not clean, repeat, I do not have a clean shot. There's a tunnel ahead. I'm going to lose them."
M: "Can you get into a better position?"
Eve Moneypenny: "Negative, there's no time."
M: "Take the shot. I said take the shot."
Eve Moneypenny: "I can't, I may hit Bond."
M: "Take the bloody shot."
With only a few seconds before her window to shoot expires, Eve Moneypenny has her fears that she might accidentally hit James Bond rather than French mercenary Patrice as they wrestle atop a moving train. Her instincts are right and Moneypenny does in fact shoot James Bond, forcing him to fall deep into the water below.
M: "Well when you've worked with Bond as long as I have you realize that somewhere in the South China Sea is precise intelligence."
To most, a location of "somewhere in the South China Sea" would be pretty broad but for M, who is used to dealing with James Bond, that's considered precise intelligence.
M: "We're under attack. Whoever did this, he knows us. He's one of us."
M recognizes that this attack is perhaps too good, that the perpetrator must be someone with intimate knowledge of their program, someone from the inside or perhaps someone formerly a member.
Silva: "No bad, not bad, James, for a physical wreck."
James Bond: "Why thank you"
Silva: "You caught me. Now, there's your prize, the latest thing from my local toy store. It's called radio."
James Bond: "I do hope that wasn't for me."
Silva: "No, but that is."
When Silva produces a radio-triggered explosion, Silva's new toy, James Bond wonders if it was meant for him. While Silva says no, Silva sure has something a bit more intense in mind, a train ready to barrel into the building right where Bond is standing.
