The Best Songs About Vacation

Raise your hand if you could use a vacation right now! I know I could. We're ranking the best songs about vacations across countless music genres, including pop, rock, R&B, hip-hop, country, jazz, and disco music. We don't all have the time and money to take a relaxing vacation, but listening to the songs on this list can be a fun escape from work.

Jimmy Buffet is the king of vacation songs. His hit singles “Margaritaville” and “Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes” both made this list. The Beach Boys are another popular band widely associated with sunshine and ocean breezes, having written the classic tracks “Kokomo” and “California Girls.”

Alternative rock  supergroups Weezer and Vampire Weekend both wrote songs simply entitled “Holiday,” and Lindsey Buckingham's “Holiday Road,” which was featured in several of the Vacation films, is another top vacation themed song. That being said, the best vacation tune award should probably go to The Go Go's sensational pop single “Vacation.”
