In general, professional athletes - including NFL, NBA, tennis, soccer, and MLB stars - are extremely disciplined and have had to work hard to achieve their dreams. These ideals readily lend themselves to conservative values and politics. Many athletes you may have assumed were Democrats, like Tom Brady, Brett Favre, and Joe Montana, are actually Republicans.
