"Star Trek Into Darkness" movie quotes bring the classic "Star Trek" franchise back into theaters for the 12th film in the science fiction series. The film, written by Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Damon Lindelof based off of the original series created by Gene Riddenberry, was directed by J.J. Abrams. "Star Trek Into Darkness" was released in the United States on on May 15, 2013, in 3D IMAX and later on May 17, 2013, in 2D.

In "Star Trek Into Darkness," the Enterprise and it's crew return for another action-filled adventure in space led by their captain, James T. Kirk (Chris Pine). Along with Commander Spock (Zachary Quinto), Chief Medical Officer Lieutenant Commander Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy (Karl Urban), Navigation Officer Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu (John Cho), Communications Officer Lieutenant Nyota Uhura (Zoe Saldana), Second Officer and Chief Engineer Lieutenant Commander Montgomery "Scotty" Scott (Simon Pegg) and Rea Admiral Christopher Pike (Bruce Greenwood), the ship follows a call to return home only to find the world in a state of crisis.

Someone in the Starfleet organization has turned against the others and set off a chain of events that could kill them all. Captain Kirk makes it his personal mission to take down those responsible, mainly rouge Starfleet agent John Harrison (Benedict Cumberbatch), who is on his own mission to destroy everyone in his path. Kirk faces Harrison in an epic battle to wipe out the evil forces while trying to keep his crew safe.

Nyota Uhura tries to get Kirk to reconsider fighting the battle by reminding him that they are already at a disadvantage with being outnumbered and outgunned. Kirk however does not see that as anything to fear, rather an opportunity to shine their brightest in the face of adversity.

With Spock trapped in an active volcano, the rest of the Enterprise crew brainstorm ways to rescue him. They suggest risking the exposure of the ship to save him, something Spock is against as it would violate the Prime Directive. Without some type of miracle however, breaking the rules may be their only option.
