Bossk and Boba were allies seemingly up until the unreleased arc of The Clone Wars where Bossk sides with Cad Bane against Boba for whatever reason, so I'm guessing that's where their relationship starts to decline. The fact that as he got older, Boba would have started to rapidly outpace Bossk both in terms of skill and renown probably didn't help with their relationship.
