The 15 Strongest Haki Users In ‘One Piece,’ Ranked

List Rules
Vote up the most powerful Haki users.

Aside from Devil Fruits, Haki is one of the most important powers wielded by characters in the One Piece world. There are three forms: Haoshoku Haki, also known as the Conqueror's Haki; Kenbunshoku Haki, also known as Observation Haki; and Busoshoku Haki, also known as Armament Haki. All three allow the user to harness their spiritual energy to accomplish a wide range of tasks. Few people can use all three, in part because all are difficult to use, and in part because only a few million people are born with the capacity to learn Haoshoku Haki.

Because it's so difficult, it makes sense that strong Haki users are among the strongest characters in the series. From Straw Hat pirates like Luffy and Zoro to legends like Gol D. Roger and Whitebeard, these characters can pull off incredible moves using Haki. Are they truly the best? That's up to you to decide.

One of the things that makes Gol D. Roger so legendary is his ability to use all three forms of Haki. We haven't gotten to see him using Kenbunshoku Haki so far, but he's confirmed to be at least proficient.

He's one of the only people who can use infuse his attacks and weaponry with Haoshoku Haki, thus ramping up their power and creating lightning-like energy. His use of Busoshoku Haki is actually pretty similar - he infuses it into his sword, Ace.

According to Jozu, Shanks's Haki is "overwhelming." We don't get to see it in action as much as we'd like, but that's par for the course when it comes to Shanks. His Haoshoku Haki is so strong that all he has to do is walk by and dozens of people lose consciousness - even powerful members of Whitebeard's crew. According to Oda, he could hypothetically knock out all 100,000 of the New Fish-Man Pirates this way.

His Busoshoku Haki is no joke either - by infusing his sword with it, he resisted Sakazuki's magma-coated punch.

    Monkey D. Garp

Monkey D. Garp can only use two forms of Haki, but he's excellent at both. We've never seen him use Kenbunshoku Haki, but it was implied he'd be skilled enough to teach others when Dr. Fishbonen told Koby to ask Garp how to use it.

He tends to concentrate Busoshoku Haki into his fists, using them to pull off powerful punches that bypass Devil Fruit powers like Luffy's Gum-Gum Fruit and even Marco's Phoenix-Phoenix Fruit.

    Whitebeard

Whitebeard is one of the most powerful figures in the One Piece world, thanks in part to his incredible mastery of every form of Haki.

He displayed his Kenbunshoku Haki on several occasions, once even predicting Ace's moves while he was asleep. As he got older, his predictions became less precise, which is why he was unable to predict Squard's betrayal. He imbued his sword Murakumogiri with Busoshoku Haki, allowing him to stand up to formidable foes like Kozuki Oden, defeat Crocodile, and beat Ace over 100 times. By doing the same with Haoshoku Haki, he clashed equally against his rival, Gol D. Roger.

    Silvers Rayleigh

Without help from Silvers Rayleigh, Luffy would have had a hard time learning Haki. He can not only knock out a room full of people using Haoshoku Haki, but also zero in on a specific person, leaving everyone else unaffected.

Busoshoku Haki lets him bypass Devil Fruit powers that typically make the user intangible, and make him nearly impossible to damage. He can even channel this form of Haki into another person or object, destroying it from the inside.

Using Kenbunshoku Haki, he can sense the presence and skill level of people all over the island he's on - not just in his vicinity. He can also sense emotions and physical status.

After training with Silvers Rayleigh for a year and a half, Luffy mastered all three forms of Haki.  For this reason alone, he deserves to be on this list, since being able to use all three is quite rare.

Luffy primarily uses Busoshoku Haki in conjunction with his Gum-Gum Fruit techniques, either by hardening his body using Armament or emitting powerful bursts of energy. His most notable use of Kenbunshoku Haki came when he fought Charlotte Katakuri, and was eventually able to begin predicting his moves. As for Haoshoku Haki, he once used it to damage Kaido, but because he wasn't experienced with it yet, he couldn't defeat him.
