In the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, Sorcerers use Cursed Energy to defeat Curses - malevolent spirits born from negative energy. The most powerful Jujutsu Kaisen characters include professional Sorcerers like Gojo Satoru, Sorcerers in training like Yuji Itadori, and Cursed Beings like Mahito. Some are heroes, some are villains, but all of them can tear it up on the battlefield.
This list is sticking to the strongest Jujutsu Kaisen characters who have appeared in the anime so far. That means there are some outrageously strong manga characters who won't appear. But don't worry, we're including plenty of incredible characters to get hyped about.
He might seem flighty and irresponsible, but Satoru Gojo is probably the most powerful Sorcerer in the entire series. With immense Cursed energy at his disposal, he can easily use a wide range of techniques, including Reverse Cursed Energy, Black Flash, and his inherited techniques, such as Limitless and Infinity.
Limitless is a technique with multiple forms that lets him manipulate space at the atomic level. Infinity, which is a form of Limitless, allows him to place "infinity" between himself and others, making him impossible to hit. Most of his other moves are variations on this theme.
Known as the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna is one of the most powerful Cursed Beings in existence. His fingers alone are considered highly dangerous objects - which is why Yuji eating one was such a big deal.
The full extent of his powers remains unknown, but he's been seen trapping other people in a domain he created called Malevolent Shrine, using powerful slashing and cleaving attacks, nearly taking over Yuji's body, using Reverse Curse techniques, and a whole lot more.
Yuta Okkotsu is a Special Grade Sorcerer who is descended from the immensely powerful Michizane Sugawara. At first, he has little control over his powers, which stem from Rika, the Cursed Spirit who haunts him and fights on his behalf. But eventually, he gains control by imbuing little bits of her power into his sword - and by communicating with her. This is how he's ultimately able to defeat outlandishly powerful Sorcerers like Geto.
There's a lot more to Yuta's abilities than just that, but for now we'll stick to what was revealed in the movie.
It's too bad that Suguru Geto adopted such discriminatory ideals, because his powers could have been an incredible asset to Jujutsu Tech. He uses Cursed Spirit Manipulation, a technique that lets him not only get rid of spirits plaguing people, but also use them for his own benefit.
At one point, he commanded over 4,000 curses, and could even combine them into a ruinous technique called Uzumaki.
After getting hit by a car and passing away, Rika became a Special Grade Cursed Spirit known as the Queen of Curses. Anytime her childhood friend Yuta was in danger, she'd launch a vicious attack to defend him. Yuta had a heck of a time getting her immense powers under control.
We won't get into everything that Rika can do since it wasn't all shown in the movie, but we will point out that in addition to extreme physical strength, she can also copy other Cursed Techniques.
Toge Inumaki's Cursed Technique is so strong that in order to avoid accidentally invoking it, he has to speak in rice ball ingredients. He uses Cursed Speech, which lets him create the effect of any word he speaks in the real world. So if he tells someone to explode, they will.
He's also quick, agile, and physically strong. No wonder he's a Semi-Grade 1 Sorcerer.
