From Naruto to Boruto, there have been plenty of dangerous villains, each with their own set of tough-to-beat powers. But who are the most powerful villains that the heroes have had to face so far?

Many of the strongest Naruto villains are members of the Otsutsuki or Uchiha clans. With earth-shattering inherited abilities, members of these clans are nearly impossible to beat - especially the Otsutsukis, whose powers transcend human limits. But there are other villains from the series who would be tough to go up against too - Kisame Hoshigaki might not be an Uchiha, but with his boundless chakra and his mastery of the Samehada sword, he's not somebody you'd want to face in battle.

Which villain do you think is the strongest? Be sure to vote them up!

  • When the entire Shinobi Alliance is powerless to stop you, you might just be one of the more powerful villains in the Naruto-verse. Starting off with just a Sharingan and some serious taijutsu skills, he eventually developed a Mangekyo Sharingan and then a Rinnegan. He could already use all the basic forms of chakra release, but acquiring Hashirama's DNA, he could use Wood Release, too. As the Ten Tails' jinchuuriki, he awakened a Rinne Sharingan, which he used to place the entire planet under Infinite Tsukuyomi.

  • Kaguya Otsutsuki is the ultimate Big Bad in Shippudden, and she's crazy strong. After eating the fruit of the God Tree, she became the first being to be able to use chakra. As such, she's fully mastered every type. She has too many outlandishly powerful moves to list here, but her most formidable is the Expansive Truth-Seeking Ball, which contains all forms of chakra, and can obliterate the entire world and reshape it.

  • Obito Uchiha possesses a wide range of skills that increase dramatically over the course of the series. At first, he's a kid who hasn't even awakened his Sharingan yet, but by the end of the series he has a Mangekyo Sharingan, a Rinnegan, and ends up as the Ten-Tails' jinchūriki. His most unique ability is Kamui, a Mangekyo skill that lets him transport himself or other people into a seperate dimension.

  • Originally, Pain was a Nagato Uzumaki, a boy with great chakra potential from his clan of origin. But once the Rinnegan was implanted into his head, he gains access to its many powers. He uses one of its abilities, the Six Paths Technique, to invade and nearly destroy Konoha - as well as to restore life to all of the people he eliminated in the process.
