The Strongest Members Of Class 1-A In My Hero Academia, Ranked

Over 12.2K Ranker voters have come together to rank this list of The Strongest Members Of Class 1-A In My Hero Academia, Ranked

My Hero Academia is a series filled with powerful characters, and some of them are in Class 1-A. Class 1-A is a group of students attending U.A. High School in the hopes of one day becoming professional heroes, and they have some serious potential.

Who are the strongest students in Class 1-A? With so many great contenders, it's hard to say. With his dual fire-ice quirk, Shoto Todoroki is definitely top tier. But there's also Momo Yaoyorozu, who can create any object out of her fat cells - how's that for versatile? Izuku Midoriya, who began the series without a quirk, is trying to master one of the most powerful quirks in the known universe, and he's doing a pretty good job.

Vote up the 1-A students who you think are the strongest, and vote down the ones you think have a long way to go.

Katsuki Bakugo's quirk, Explosion, is just as powerful as it sounds like it is. Using nitroglycerin-like sweat from his palms, he's able to use massive explosions that can not only knock out his opponents, they can even blow up concrete. The main thing that gets in his way is his arrogance, not his strength.

Half-Cold Half-Hot is Shoto Todoroki's signature ability. One side of his body controls ice, while the other side controls fire. Not only can he use these elements independently, he can also combine them to create super moves like Flashfreeze Heatwave, which lets him rapidly cool and then rapidly heat the air around him, creating an explosion.

    Izuku Midoriya

After being born quirkless, Izuku Midoriya ended up inheriting One For All, an incredibly strong quirk that once belonged to All Might, the number one hero. Though the quirk's full potential has yet to be revealed, but its primary use involves dramatically enhancing ones' physical abilities. At first, using it immediately broke Izuku's bones, but after some serious training he was able to withstand its power and use it against a range of opponants, including truly dangerous ones like Overhaul.

Fumikage Tokoyami's quirk isn't his bird head - it's Dark Shadow, a powerful sentient shadow who can be summoned to help him fight. In bright light, Dark Shadow has limited skills, but if he's fighting at night or in a dark room, this thing will tear you to shreds.

Eijiro Kirishima's quirk might sound like a Metapod's special move, but Hardening is actually wildly useful. Not only can he harden his body to the point where it's almost impossible for him to take any damage, he can also sharpen his body and use it to cut his opponents. At his strongest, he was able to hold his own against Hekiji Tengai and Rappa, two of Overhaul's henchmen.

With his control over electricity, Denki Kaminari is a powerful hero-in-training. Sure, his grades aren't great - probably because he's constantly frying his own brain with powerful volts - but he can do a lot of damage to his enemies. Also, he can charge people's electronics, so that's cool, too.
