TV gives us the perfect escape from reality by allowing us to live vicariously through our favorite characters. We long for their adventures and expensive wardrobes. More importantly, though, we sigh every time those characters live in beautiful fictional apartments that are spacious, comfy, and decorated with amazing attention to detail.

Stunning TV apartments are unforgettable. They become as embedded in pop culture as the shows that brought them into our lives. Any Friends fan can draw Monica and Rachel’s apartment floorplan from memory. Carrie’s stylish pad from Sex and the City may have been unrealistic and yet, no woman can deny being mesmerized by to those irresistible blue walls and that posh, spacious closet. The best apartments on TV not only give viewers intense interior inspiration, but also manage to reflect the characters’ personalities.

All in all, if there was an Emmy for beautiful fictional apartments, competition would be tight. Here are the coolest living spaces on TV. Vote up your faves!

Is there a more recognizable TV apartment out there? As the six friends note in the last episode of the series, everyone lived here at one point. The purple walls, the cozy sofa, the vintage French poster, the gold frame around the peephole - all these tiny details make Monica and Rachel’s apartment feel comfortable and homey. The apartment is incredibly spacious and, being rent-controlled, a steal for two people with steady sources of income. There’s even a balcony, for crying out loud.

This apartment would be worth it for the amazing view of the Seattle skyline alone. But there are so many other amazing details about Frasier’s place that make his pad ridiculously attractive. It has tons of natural light, a fireplace, a balcony, a piano, and posh furniture. Oh, and did we mention the fact that the master bath comes complete with sauna? Overall, it’s just too good to pass up.

Kara’s apartment comes with huge windows, Ikea furniture, and a small, but cozy kitchen. It’s perfect for a young woman. As the set designers mention, it’s perfectly plausible that Kara found some of her tables and chairs and painted them herself. Proving that you don’t need expensive things to make your place feel homey - just a touch of creativity.
