Which Drug Are You, According To Your Western Zodiac Sign?

Aries are perpetually on the move and all about that fast-paced life. One of the sign's positive personality traits is the confidence with which they move through life. However, an Aries with an unchecked ego may have a bit of a "god complex" at times. 

Cocaine can make its users talkative, strong-willed, and ready to take on the world's biggest problems - just like the ambitious ram the sign represents.  

A Taurus is known for stubbornness, perseverance, and a dislike of change. Tauruses (Taurii?) are also homebodies who love to surround themselves with creature comforts, especially food. And you know what can make food taste better? Weed. 

As fixed (the opposite of mutable) Earth signs, Taureans have no problem being couch-locked for a few hours while indulging in some of their favorite snacks and binging on TV shows or movies.

If Geminis were any drug, it would likely be dimethyltryptamine, a psychedelic substance with fleeting but intense effects. Much like a Gemini's flighty nature, DMT provides an extreme but ephemeral trip. The chemical is speculated to be released by the brain as we dream, and possibly as we're dying, so an experience on DMT can be vivid at one moment and completely lost the next. 

This is also in line with a Gemini's tendency to be hellbent on one thing - and then forget about it and change course a few minutes later. 

Cancer is a water sign associated with sensitive, deep moods. When they're feeling negative emotions, Cancerians have a tendency to back away from the world and retreat into their shells due to feeling anxious, depressed, or hurt. Like crabs, they burrow into their homes and wait for the harsh tides to ebb. 

Heroin converts into morphine once it hits the brain and quickly binds to opioid receptors. Users feel an intense rush and feelings of relaxation, letting the world melt away. Characteristically speaking, heroin is a foil to a Cancer's moody side and tendency to fall inward.  

A Leo has a reputation for being the charismatic life of the party. This fire sign tends to enjoy social situations and being the center of attention. That's why these roaring lions are like 3,4-methyl​enedioxy​methamphetamine (better known as MDMA). 

Rolling on forms of MDMA, such as Ecstasy or Molly, gives users a euphoric rush that makes them think everyone is their best friend. They probably feel like their most magnetic, charming selves on MDMA - similar to how a Leo feels in many party and social situations.

Virgos like to focus on something and dedicate all their time to it. They're known as very giving signs, and also known for a laser-like ability to hone in on one task or person and make it their focal point. That's why they’re like methylphenidate - a prescription stimulant often known by the brand name Ritalin. 

Ritalin is prescribed for treating ADHD, but is sometimes abused by high school and college students to force themselves to focus on their overdue papers.
