    But First, Peppers

    From Redditor /u/AutoCompliant

Here's my little Subway hack (if you want to call it that, I guess...). Put your onions and bell peppers on before toasting any sub! It takes the bite out of them (I'm not a huge fan of raw onions) and brings out the flavor a little more.

    Always Get Double Cheese

    From Redditor /u/wwesmudge

Something I've learned from eating Subway almost every day for the last 5 years is this.

Always ask for double cheese on your Subway. Most of the time when more than 1 person is working, they won't pass on to the cashier that double cheese needs to be added to the price, and it will go unnoticed.

On the rare chance it does get noticed, you have to pay ¢50 for double cheese, how can you complain!

Seriously 90% of the time, you'll get free double cheese

    Maximize Coverage

    From Redditor /u/bearxor

My Subway hack is to have them out the mayo on the bread before anything else as opposed to putting it on as the very last thing in the middle of the sandwich that gets squeezed out when they try to close it.

Even then they mess it up by trying to create a solid line length-wise down the sun instead of going vertically in a pattern to maximize coverage.

A Pizza Sub That’s Not On The Menu

    From Redditor /u/outta_my_element

I need to say this. In my state, a pizza sub isn't on the menu. When I order a pizza sub they ask me the same thing. They get the basics like pepperoni and marinara sauce but like every other sandwich at subway, it's made the way you want. Here's the way I get my pizza sub:

    Wheat Bread

    Marinara sauce on the bread

    Pepperoni and deli salami

    Provolone or American cheese

    Olives

    Onions

    Bell Peppers

Have them then toast the sandwich

    Tomatoes (optional)

A sh*t ton of Parmesan cheese

    Chipotle Sauce

Trust me, it's the best sub that's not on the menu.

    Salad In A Bun

    From Redditor /u/alttabbins

I'm really big on making a greek salad on a sandwich. It’s delicious!!!

Just ask for these ingredients: Roasted chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, lots of olives, a little banana peppers, subway vinegarette, pepper, and a little salt. Works great as a salad too.

    Extra Veggies!

    From Redditor /u/moodslayer

At Subway, you can get any 6" portion of meat by itself, for $1.50. This includes the premium meats like pastrami. They give it to me in a small soup cup. One Subway also said I could get the same sized soup cup full of veggies for each meat portion I purchased, but the one I ate at today did not offer that. Some workers may not be aware of all this, because not many people will order like this. Only us crazies.
