Fun Summer Crafts That'll Keep Your Kids Busy

Summer break is all about having a ton of fun and staying cool! But it can also mean finding ways to keep the kids entertained between swim camp and art class. You're going to need to have some crafts on hand to keep the little ones busy. That's just where this list comes in handy.

Whether you have a little artist, a builder, an explorer, or a scientist, this list has something for you and them. Don't be afraid to get messy - you know the kids aren't! Making a mess is half the fun, at least when it comes to crafts like the paint-filled eggs, rainbow slime, or the DIY balloon bowls. For those who want a little science over their summer breaks, make the balloon rockets and tin-can telephones, and then discuss the science behind why these things work.

Got a mini-crafter on your hands? Help them learn a hand-knitting technique or how sew their own bookmark. Maybe the builder in your house will love constructing a Lego candy dispenser. If your goal is to just keep your kids cool in the heat, make water sponge "bombs" that the kids can throw at each other. These are way easier to clean up than water balloons and don't hurt a bit when the kids throw them at each other.

Summer is all about fun and these art projects for kids will definitely put smiles on everyone's faces - even the big kids. So take a look and vote up the summer crafts you think your kids will love the most.
