America is known around the globe for planting a flag in pretty much everything, from land to entertainment to the moon and even to food. That's right, the melting pot has become its own goulash of co-opted cuisine.
Immigration has blessed the States with some really excellent starting points for food, and the diverse population has created comfort foods we've all come to love. What do you think the most "Americanized" foods are? This video examines a few.
While many of these expatriated foods have retained some of their original integrity, some that have taken on a whole new taste and aesthetic. "Chinese food" in the States is often unrecognizable compared to the actual food eaten in China, but it's become an American favorite.
