Originally directed by Dario Argento in 1977, Suspiria accumulated a substantial fan base. Now, its been remade for a 2018 audience, and they are eating it up. Some scary movie sequels really fall flat, never able to recapture the horror that disturbed viewers in first iteration. This new imagining of Suspiria, on the other hand, has surprised and delighted.
The 2018 Suspiria, which stars Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson, and Mia Goth, promises nothing short of chills, great acting, and a little choreography, none of which disappoint. The film seems like a sharp pivot for Johnson, who starred in 50 Shades of Grey, but her performance, along with the rest of the cast's, has earned rave reviews.
