Kanye West is no stranger to controversy. Kanye's rants and outbursts are almost as legendary as his catalog and production credits. The rapper gets in trouble for his unfiltered comments and these public events have landed him in hot water.

Literally any person, place or thing can feel Kanye’s wrath, which has caused him many problems. Just ask Mike Myers. When the duo appeared together asking for money during the Hurricane Katrina pledge drive, West went off-script when he said that President Bush didn’t care about black people. Poor Myers had to stand next to Kanye the entire time with nowhere to run. One would have thought that Kanye learned his lesson after his rant in front of the whole country. It was just the beginning.

Throughout the years, more and more controversies have popped up due to his rants. He’s walked out of awards shows, cursed off fans, and bashed contemporaries over the years. Kanye’s most famous outburst, however, was directed at Taylor Swift. Though he was sort of well intentioned (his excuse was that he attempted to explain why his pal Beyonce should have won the VMA instead of the country sweetheart) it just created another controversy when the public was already on Kanye overload. The event spawned thousands of memes and a tongue-lashing from the President Obama.

Here are the most controversial Kanye eruptions...that is, until the next big one occurs.

Kanye Hates That Beck Beat Beyoncé for the Best Album Grammy

Things Kanye West likes: designer shoes, Kardashian selfies, Beyoncé.

Things Kanye West doesn't like: Grammy voters, Beck.

Kanye celebrated the 2015 Grammy awards by delivering an epic rant at an E! after party. The rapper was unhappy that Beck beat his favorite/BFF Beyoncé for album of the year and decided to make his dissatisfaction heard.

"I just know that the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We ain't gonna play with them no more. And Beck needs to respect artistry and he should've given his award to Beyoncé," Kanye sad.

"Because when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in their face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you're disrespectful to inspiration. And we as musicians have to inspire people who go to work every day, and they listen to that Beyoncé album and they feel like it takes them to another place."

Hey, at least he managed to save it for a post-show interview instead of "Imma let you finish"-ing Beck on stage. Progress!

Kanye Bashes Jimmy Kimmel for Spoof

Kanye West unleashed one of his more epic Twitter rants on the night of 9/26, sounding off on Jimmy Kimmel for a sketch in which the late-night host reenacted a recent BBC Radio 1 interview with West, replacing Kanye with a bratty kid.

In all caps, West ranted at Kimmel for making fun of, "THE FIRST PIECE OF HONEST MEDIA IN YEARS," before transitioning into personal attacks.

"JIMMY KIMMEL PUT YOURSELF IN MY SHOES ... OH NO THAT WOULD MEAN YOU WOULD HAVE GOTTEN TOO MUCH GOOD PU**Y IN YOUR LIFE." He went on to call Kimmel's face "CRAZY," and then dropped that Kimmel's ex, Sarah Silverman, is "A THOUSAND TIMES FUNNIER." He finished off the rant with two meme-like photos insulting Kimmel, calling him a "no good pussy" and likening his face to Spongebob Squarepants.

If you are lucky, all of the tweets are still up on Kanye's twitter feed.

UPDATE: Kanye appeared on Jimmy Kimmel's show on Wednesday 10/9 alongside Dr. Phil, who moderated the discussion between the two feuding parties, and made up.

Interrupting Taylor Swift’s Acceptance Speech

When Taylor Swift took home the prize for Best Female Video, everyone in attendance politely gave their approval. Except Kanye. Visibly upset that his pal Beyonce didn’t win the award, the rapper leaped out of his seat and hit the stage in defense of his friend, even though that meant interrupting the victor.

While he may have had a case, his rant went over poorly and turned him into an adjective for poor manners.
