1994's Pulp Fiction is definitely a quotable movie. Quentin Tarantino's crime film, starring John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson, contains some highly memorable dialogue that combines elements of humor—and violence, of course. Filled with intelligent monologues and conversations, including that famous speech by Jules, Pulp Fiction was a hit with fans and with critics.
The movie garnered multiple Academy Awards nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor (Travolta), Best Supporting Actor (Jackson) and Best Supporting Actress (Uma Thurman). Tarantino and co-writer Roger Avary won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay (which gives any potential remake quite a reputation to live up to). Some of the speeches are now favorites to memorize, but there are short quotes that are just as memorable. Read on for some memorable Pulp Fiction quotes.

Jules: "You read the Bible, Brett?"
Jules: "Well, there's this passage I've got memorized that sort of fits this occasion. Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of the evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and goodwill, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper, and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee!"
Definitely one of Samuel L. Jackson's finest moments on film.Is this a great line?
Mia: "Don't you hate that?"
Mia: "Uncomfortable silences. Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bulls**t in order to be comfortable?"
Vincent: "I don't know. That's a good question."
Mia: "That's when you know you've found somebody special. When you can just shut the f**k up for a minute and comfortably enjoy the silence."
Beautifully acted scene by Travolta and Uma Thurman as Mia.Is this a great line?
A Royale with Cheese
Vincent: "You know what the funniest thing about Europe is?"
Vincent: "It's the little differences. I mean they got the same s**t over there that they got here, but it's just - it's just there it's a little different."
Vincent: "Alright, well you can walk into a movie theater in Amsterdam and buy a beer. And I don't mean just like in no paper cup, I'm talking about a glass of beer. And in Paris, you can buy a beer at McDonald's. And you know what they call a, uh, a Quarter Pounder with Cheese in Paris?"
Jules: "They don't call it a Quarter Pounder with Cheese?"
Vincent: "Nah, man, they got the metric system, they wouldn't know what the f**k a Quarter Pounder is."
Jules: "What do they call it?"
Vincent: "They call it a Royale with Cheese."
Jules: "Royale with Cheese."
Vincent: "That's right."
Jules: "What do they call a Big Mac?"
Vincent: "A Big Mac's a Big Mac, but they call it Le Big Mac."
Jules: "Le Big Mac." [laughs] "What do they call a Whopper?"
Vincent: "I dunno, I didn't go into Burger King. But, you know what they put on french fries in Holland instead of ketchup?"

Like Three Little Fonzies
Jules: "Now Yolanda, we're not gonna do anything stupid, are we?"
Yolanda: "You don't hurt him."
Jules: "Nobody's gonna hurt anybody. We're gonna be like three little Fonzies here. And what's Fonzie like? Come on Yolanda what's Fonzie like?"
Yolanda: "He's cool."
Jules: "Correctamundo. And that's what we're gonna be. We're gonna be cool. Now Ringo, I'm gonna count to three, and when I count three, you let go of your gun, and sit your a** down. But when you do it, you do it cool. Ready? One... two... three."
[Ringo sits down opposite Jules]
Yolanda: "All right, now you let him go."
Jules: "Yolanda, I thought you said you were gonna be cool. Now when you yell at me, it makes me nervous. And when I get nervous, I get scared. And when m**********rs get scared, that's when m**********rs accidentally get shot."
Yolanda: "You just know, you touch him, you die."
Jules: "Well, that seems to be the situation. But I don't want that. And you don't want that. And Ringo here *definitely* doesn't want that."
Who can hold in a snicker when Jules says "Correctamundo?" Brilliant dialogue is a highlight of Pulp Fiction, from start to finish, and Samuel L. Jackson delivers like never before. Is this a great line?
