In 1994, ABC brought Stephen King’s horror novel The Stand to the small screen in the form of a four-episode miniseries. The Stand cast featured a couple of major 1980s movie stars like Rob Lowe and Molly Ringwald. Check out who else was part of The Stand miniseries cast.
The story of The Stand begins when a military-designed supervirus is accidentally spread among the general public. The result is apocalyptic and nearly all of the world’s entire population falls victim to the superflu. The few scattered survivors, via their dreams, are either lured to the evil side of Randall Flagg or are steered to the good path by Mother Abigail. The Stand characters then launch into a legendary battle between good and evil.
