The Best Movies Ever to Come Out in March

Updated June 14, 2019 3.1k votes 247 voters 21.3k views38 items

List RulesMust have been released in the month of March

March is usually a dumping ground for movies that are neither summer blockbusters nor award contenders, but Marches of years past have had some great movies come out in theaters (movie releases in March 2013, by the way, not awful). These greatest films to come out in March is a list of the best movies ever to come out in March.

To give you an idea of how bad March typically is for movie releases, the rogue nuclear sub movie Phantom (starring David Duchovny and Ed Harris), released in March 2013, is fast on its way to becoming one of the least profitable movies ever made. In years past, however, March movie releases have included (the first installment of what is sure to be a mega trilogy), gladiator epic 300, and even The Godfather.

What is the best movie ever to come out in March? What Academy Award winning movies were released in March? What are the most successful movies released in March? This list of movies that came out in March is here for users to vote on what they consider to be the greatest movie released in March. This is not a complete list of films released in March, just the good ones. If your favorite movie released in March isn't on the list, make sure to add it to this list of the greatest films released in March.
