The Best WWE Royal Rumbles of All Time
The Royal Rumble is one of the biggest and most iconic matches the WWE has to offer. Every January, 30 of the best WWE superstars enter one by one into the true gauntlet of strength and determination, with each wrestler being eliminated until only one wrestler remains as the winner (except for the 1994 Royal Rumble, which had two winners)! The best WWE Royal Rumbles of all time feature the biggest names, the most stunning moments, and the most exciting winners.
Some of the greatest wrestlers of all time have cemented themselves as superstars by winning the Royal Rumble, including Ric Flair, Triple H, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, John Cena, and many more. For those who are unfamiliar, the Royal Rumble features 30 (except for 2011, where there were 40) wrestlers who enter the ring one by one in a battle royal. The wrestlers eliminate each other by throwing them over the top rope to the floor, and the winner of the Royal Rumble becomes the new number one contender for the WWE Championship, typically culminating in a match at the following Wrestlemania. In 2018, WWE also introduced a women's Royal Rumble for the first time, which was won by Asuka.
