As scientists continue to forge ahead, paving humanity's road to the future, so should you do your part by reading and voting on each of these lists.

We love him not only because he is able to explain the most complicated matters of science in terms that the layman can easily understand, but he does so in a way that he is not speaking down to us. Tyson comes as our friend. He's just our pal who loves that we have an interest in science, and is anxious to share his vast knowledge.So, it makes perfect sense that our buddy would analyze the science behind our favorite films. However, Tyson not only explains matters like zero-G and proper constellation configuration, he calls out the movies that get the science wrong. Known for revolutionizing chemistry and conducting groundbreaking experiments during the Enlightenment, Lavoisier&#39;s aristocratic status eventually condemned him. Lavoisier and his wife, Marie-Anne, worked together as the father and mother of modern chemistry, designing and carrying out experiments. Together, they built an international reputation.

Like most 18th-century scientists, the Lavoisiers were aristocrats. Nobody has proven the ability to reach the scientific hearts and minds of children and adults alike quite like Nye did, so it is well past time to bring the man back into the spotlight. He never really went anywhere, but Nye is now back in a place of prominence on Netflix, and it’s time for him to prove he has what it takes to really save the world&nbsp;from... itself more than anything.

Bunsen Honeydew

Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, Ph.D. is a Muppet character from The Muppet Show, performed by Dave Goelz. He is a bald, green-skinned, bespectacled, lab-coated scientist who would do periodic science segments from "Muppet Labs, where the future is being made today." The character has no eyes, only completely transparent, lensless glasses, giving the appearance of a stereotypical absent-minded intellectual. His first name is borrowed from Robert Bunsen, after whom the Bunsen Burner was named. His last name is a reference to the honeydew melon, to which his head bears a striking resemblance. It is also a reference to Honeywell Labs, a technology company which aired TV commercials well-known at the time of the original Muppet Show.
Honeydew's experiments usually cause great harm to his very nervous and long-suffering assistant Beaker, a nearly mute Muppet with a shock of reddish hair. Honeydew worked alone in the first season of The Muppet Show, but from the second season onward, the luckless Beaker would always be present.

Alexander Joseph "Lex" Luthor is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Lex Luthor is the archenemy of Superman, although given his high status as a supervillain, he has also come into conflict with Batman and other superheroes in the DC Universe. Created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the character first appeared in Action Comics #23. Luthor is a wealthy, power-mad business magnate, one of the most intelligent beings in the DC Universe, and has incredible technological prowess. Lex Luthor's goals typically center on killing Superman, the foremost obstacle to achieving the villain's megalomaniacal goals. Despite periodically wearing a powered exoskeleton, Luthor has traditionally lacked superpowers or a dual identity. He is well known for his philanthropy, donating millions of dollars to Metropolis over the years, funding parks, foundations, and charities.

Doctor Octopus

Doctor Octopus, real name Dr. Otto Gunther Octavius and also known as Doc Ock, Doc Octopus and the Superior Spider-Man, is a fictional character, a supervillain that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. A highly intelligent mad scientist, Doctor Octopus is one of Spider-Man's greatest foes. He is typically portrayed as a stocky, myopic man who utilizes four powerful, mechanical appendages, and is obsessed with proving his own genius and destroying Spider-Man. In his first several appearances, his last name was spelled "Octavious" while all stories since have spelled it "Octavius". The character has appeared in numerous Spider-Man cartoons and video games and is portrayed by Alfred Molina in the 2004 film Spider-Man 2.
In 2009, Doctor Octopus was ranked as IGN's 28th Greatest Comic Book Villain of All Time. Comics journalist and historian Mike Conroy writes of the character: "Created by Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, Doc Ock, as he became known, has become one of the web slinger's most persistent and dangerous foes."

The Doctor

The Doctor is the title character in the long-running BBC science fiction television programme Doctor Who. Since the show's inception in 1963, the character has been portrayed by thirteen lead actors. In the programme, "the Doctor" is the alias assumed by a centuries-old alien—a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey—who travels through space and time in the TARDIS, frequently with companions. Egon Spengler, Ph.D. is a fictional character from the Ghostbusters franchise. He appears in the films Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II, in the animated television series The Real Ghostbusters, and later in Extreme Ghostbusters. Professor Sherman Klump is a fictional character portrayed by Jerry Lewis in The Nutty Professor, and by Eddie Murphy in the 1996 version and its 2000 sequel Nutty Professor II: The Klumps. Sherman is a jolly, kind hearted science teacher at Welman College. Although this was the main character Eddie played he also played the part of the rest of Sherman's family.
Despite the weight difference between Eddie and Sherman there are small similarities between them, firstly age. In the first movie Sherman's age is revealed to be 35 which was the same age as Eddie in 1996 so he is presumed to be 39 in the sequel which was released in 2000. Secondly height, when Sherman drinks his fat reducing formula for the first time on a nearby computer screen his height is revealed as 5'10" which is roughly the same height as Eddie as according to IMDB he stands at about 5'9½ inches tall. Sherman Klump weighs 400 pounds. The major differences with Sherman and Buddy is their personalities and attitudes. Buddy is psychotically Rude, Obnoxious, Loud mouthed, blatantly insensitive, reckless, cruel, insulting, egomaniacal, self absorb, perverted, and sex crazed.
