This list includes players who were successful in the Canadian Football League (CFL) as well, after all, there are number of great players on here who never could become the apple of the NFL's eye. There are a bunch of players, even some Hall of Famers and some of the <a href="http://www.ranker.com/crowdranked-list/the-best-quarterbacks-of-all-time">greatest quarterbacks of all time</a>, who are on here. You'll be surprised to learn that these guys slipped through the cracks, especially players like Super Bowl winners like Kurt Warner and Joe Theismann on here, along with one of the best pure passing quarterbacks in Warren Moon. Somehow, these guys were overlooked, yet after honing their craft in the CFL or even the Arena League, these guys got their chance at the big time. Though some of these guys became NFL afterthoughts, and some, didn't even have a chance to show how good they were, they are still supremely underrated compared to other quarterbacks that did get a chance to play in the pros. Conrad Dobler, an offensive lineman who played from 1972 to 1981, bit, hit, kicked and spit on opposing players, including an incident where he punched fellow tough guy and one of the <a href="http://www.ranker.com/crowdranked-list/greatest-defenders-in-nfl-history" target="_blank">greatest defenders in NFL history</a> Mean Joe Greene. Johnny Sample is another long retired player who earned the reputation for dirty play. All of the best football players have their own best touchdown dances making the competition for which is the best nearly as competitive as the game of football itself.Notable touchdown dances are endless but a select few stand out above all the rest. Many are so iconic that the player is forever remembered for that celebration just as much as their playing career. Desmond Howard is a prime example of that with this Heisman Trophy pose celebration just as memorable as when he actually won the trophy while playing with the University of Michigan. Many of the flashiest players to ever appear in professional football brought us some of the best touchdown celebrations. Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Charles Rodgers (born December 2, 1983) is an American football quarterback for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). Rodgers played college football for the California Golden Bears, where he set several career passing records, including lowest single-season and career interception rates. He was selected in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft by the Packers.After backing up Brett Favre for the first three years of his NFL career, Rodgers became the Packers' starting quarterback in 2008. In 2010, he led them to a victory in Super Bowl XLV over the Pittsburgh Steelers, earning the Super Bowl MVP. He was named Associated Press Athlete of the Year in 2011, and was voted league MVP by the Associated Press for the 2011 and 2014 NFL seasons.
Rodgers has led the NFL four times in touchdown-to-interception ratio (2011, 2012, 2014, 2018); twice in passer rating (2011, 2012), touchdown passing percentage (2011, 2012), and lowest passing interception percentage (2009, 2014); and once in touchdown passes (2016) and yards per attempt (2011).
Rodgers is the NFL's all-time regular season career passer rating leader and is one of two quarterbacks to have a regular season career passer rating of over 100, the other being Russell Wilson. Matt Hasselbeck

Matthew Michael Hasselbeck (born September 25, 1975) is a former American football quarterback and current analyst for ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown. He played college football at Boston College and was drafted in the sixth round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. After a season on the practice squad and two seasons backing up Brett Favre, he was traded to the Seattle Seahawks in 2001. Hasselbeck led Seattle to six playoff appearances, including a Super Bowl loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers during the 2005 season. He was selected to three Pro Bowls in his career. Hasselbeck also played for the Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts.

Mark Brunell

Mark Allen Brunell (born September 17, 1970) is an American football coach and former quarterback who is the current head coach at the Episcopal School of Jacksonville. He was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round of the 1993 NFL Draft. He played college football at Washington.
Brunell was a three-time Pro Bowl selection with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has also played for the Washington Redskins, New Orleans Saints, and New York Jets. In 2009, he earned a Super Bowl ring as the backup quarterback and holder for the Saints' Super Bowl XLIV winning team against the Indianapolis Colts.

Jim McMahon

James Robert McMahon, Jr. (born August 21, 1959) is an American former football player. He played college football at Brigham Young University, where he was a two-time All-American (1980, 1981) and later in the professional ranks with the Chicago Bears, San Diego Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, and Green Bay Packers. He won two Super Bowl titles, the first with the Bears in Super Bowl XX where he was the starting quarterback, and the second with their rivals, the Green Bay Packers, in Super Bowl XXXI where he was a backup to Brett Favre. Both Super Bowls were against the New England Patriots. McMahon was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1998.

Doug Pederson

Douglas Irving Pederson (born January 31, 1968) is an American football coach and former player who is currently the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. He served as the offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs from 2013 to 2015. He spent most of his playing career as a member of the Green Bay Packers, serving as a backup quarterback to Brett Favre and holder on placekicks, and winning Super Bowl XXXI with the team over the New England Patriots. He was also a backup to Dan Marino as a member of the Miami Dolphins, and a starting quarterback for the Eagles and Cleveland Browns.
In his second season as the Eagles' head coach, Pederson won Super Bowl LII (also against the Patriots), marking the first Super Bowl title in franchise history. He also became just the fourth person, after Mike Ditka, Tom Flores and Tony Dungy to win a Super Bowl as both a player and head coach.

Aaron Lafette Brooks (born March 24, 1976) is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL).  He played college football at Virginia and was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the fourth round of the 1999 NFL Draft.
Brooks spent most of his career with the New Orleans Saints, and his final season with the Oakland Raiders. Brooks retired in 2007 as the Saints' franchise leader in both season and career touchdown passes, though both records have since been broken by Drew Brees.

Ty Detmer

Ty Hubert Detmer (born October 30, 1967) is an American football coach and former player. As a player, Detmer won the Heisman Trophy in 1990 while playing quarterback for Brigham Young University (BYU). He went on to play professionally in the National Football League (NFL) for fourteen seasons. He was the offensive coordinator at BYU from 2015 to 2017. At BYU, Detmer broke several NCAA records and was twice recognized as a consensus All-American. A late-round pick in the 1992 NFL Draft, Detmer played for five NFL teams, mostly in a back-up role. He is the older brother of former NFL quarterback Koy Detmer.

Tarvaris Jackson

Tarvaris D. Jackson (April 21, 1983 – April 12, 2020) was a former American football quarterback. Born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama, Jackson played college football at Arkansas and Alabama State, and in the National Football League (NFL) for the Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks, and Buffalo Bills. The Vikings selected Jackson in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft, and Jackson played for the Vikings from 2006 to 2010. A reserve quarterback for much of his time with the Vikings, Jackson was starting quarterback for the 2007 season and part of the 2008 season, after which Jackson started the Vikings' Wild Card playoff game. In 2011, Jackson signed with the Seahawks and was starting quarterback for the 2011 season. Jackson was then traded to the Bills before the 2012 NFL season but never played a game. Jackson returned to the Seahawks in 2013. He was the backup quarterback for Russell Wilson during Super Bowl XLVIII over the Denver Broncos.

Danny Wuerffel

Daniel Carl Wuerffel (born May 27, 1974) is a former college and professional American football quarterback who won the 1996 Heisman Trophy and the 1996 national football championship while playing college football for the University of Florida. Wuerffel was a prolific passer in coach Steve Spurrier's offense. He led the nation in touchdown passes in 1995 and 1996, and set numerous school and conference records. Wuerffel was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2013.
After graduating from Florida, Wuerffel was drafted by the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL). He spent six years in the league with four teams, finding limited success as a backup and an occasional starter. He also played a season in NFL Europe, where he led the Rhein Fire to a league championship and was named MVP of World Bowl 2000.
Wuerffel last played professional football in 2002, officially retiring in 2004. He returned to New Orleans to work with Desire Street Ministries, a nonprofit organization that seeks to help impoverished neighborhoods through spiritual and community development. Wuerffel had first become involved with the organization while playing for the Saints in the late 1990s, and as the organization attempted to recover from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, he became its executive director. Under Wuerffel, Desire Street Ministries moved its headquarters to Atlanta and expanded its programs to other inner cities in the American south.

J. T. O'Sullivan

John Thomas O'Sullivan (born August 25, 1979) is an American former professional gridiron football quarterback and is the current head football coach of Patrick Henry High School (California) who played in the National Football League (NFL), NFL Europe and Canadian Football League (CFL) from 2002 to 2012. He played college football for the UC Davis Aggies of the University of California, Davis, where he was a three-year starter and threw for career totals of 10,745 yards and 96 touchdowns. He was named a First Team All-American in 2000 and a  Second Team All-American in 2001. He was inducted into the Cal Aggie Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008.
O'Sullivan was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the sixth round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He also spent time with 10 other NFL teams: the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers, Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers, Cincinnati Bengals, San Diego Chargers, and Oakland Raiders. He was a backup for the majority of his NFL career but began the 2008 season as the starter for the 49ers. He also played for the Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europe in 2004 and 2007, leading the Galaxy to the World Bowl each year. He earned All-NFL Europa and NFL Europa Co-Offensive MVP honors in 2007. O'Sullivan spent the final season of his professional career as a backup for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL.
