The Greatest Songs That Are Ruined By Laptop Speakers

List RulesSongs that are sacrilegious to listen to on laptop speakers.

Have you ever heard a really, really great song that you love to dance to or that comes in really, really strong at this epic part, but then you try and listen to it through laptop speakers and all the magic is gone? This is a collection of exactly those type of songs. All of these songs not only have a great bass part, but all of these songs absolutely need to be heard out of speakers with a decent if not amazing bottom end, like you would get out of a sound system or a really good bluetooth speaker, like this one

Generally, music played out of laptop speakers sounds mediocre at best. If the only way you listen to music is through laptop speakers, then you're kind of missing out on a lot of the artist's intent when it comes to the songs they're writing.

Most professionally produced songs are mixed with a lot of care and then mastered so you feel the impact of every dynamic in the song.

Also, lots of laptop speakers, especially those coming out of Apple laptops (at least for the moment) are completely devoid of bass.

Bassy songs like Lil Jon's Throw it Up, Rock ballads like Live's Lightning Crashes, and Jazz masterpieces like John Coltrane's Naima deserve to be listened to through a good sound system. Listening to these songs through a laptop is like eating a steak slathered with ketchup (an atrocity for another list).

Vote for the songs that sound terrible through bad speakers, such as any songs with a good bass line or even just songs where you can't quite "feel it" unless you listen to them through an at least decent sound system.
