Nine years is a long time. Churning out 22 episodes per season for the better part of a decade is bound to take its toll on any series - even one of the greatest sitcoms in TV history.
Over the course of its 201-episode run, The Office had its share of highs and lows. It introduced dozens of characters - and said goodbye to more than a few of them. It gave us a string of beloved relationships... and some not-so-beloved. It took us to Scranton, Stamford, Philadelphia - and most importantly, a vintage Sbarro in New York City.
The show's audience was dedicated and its cultural imprint undeniable. Since concluding its run in 2013, The Office has continued to accumulate viewers thanks to Netflix, where its one-click availability makes binge rewatches a practical inevitability. But just because you start rewatching a show doesn't mean you necessarily stick it out to the end. Like any other show that regularly revamps its cast and changes direction - be it ownership, significant other, manager, acting manager, assistant (to the) manager - The Office offers plenty of opportunities for the frustrated viewer to jump ship for good. Individual mileage may vary. When was the tipping point in your rewatch? When did you realize that from there on out, it was just never going to be the same?
