List Rules Vote up the fights that prove why The Rock has become an all-time great action star.

Do you smell that? That's The Rock, and he's cooking up a smackdown for all of you. Dwayne Johnson is one of the biggest movie stars on the planet, and he's pretty much the closest thing you'll see to a demigod on Earth. His hard work and motivation have made him a cultural icon, on par with other great action heroes, like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, and Bruce Willis.

The Rock's got some decent acting chops for sure, but we all know his movies are just excuses to watch him pound people into the ground like the sorry suckers they are. He's had some pretty epic brawls during his career - so many that it's hard to keep track. The fights on this list are only the best of the best; which one do you think is The Rock's best fight of all time?

Why is The Rock fighting?

After Hobbs (The Rock) is unjustly imprisoned, he finds himself across the hall from his old enemy, Deckard Shaw. After Hobbs's cell is opened by Mr. Nobody, Shaw takes the opportunity to start his own escape attempt. He short-circuits his cell, releasing all the prisoners at the same time. Hobbs tracks Shaw throughout the prison, fighting anyone who gets in his way. He eventually catches up to Shaw, but the two are quickly surrounded by dozens of armed officers.

What is the highlight?

The Rock takes like five rubber bullets, grabs the piece from a guard, and proceeds to beat several people senseless with it.

And the winner is...

The Prison
