The Visit movie quotes bring the thrills of what happens when two children visit their quite spooky grandparents. The horror comedy movie was written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. The Visit opened in theaters on September 11, 2015.
In The Visit, Rebecca (Olivia De Jonge) and Tyler (Ed Oxenbould) leave their mother (Kathryn Hahn) to spend a week at her childhood home with their grandparents Doris (Deanna Dunagan) and John (Peter McRobbie). Rebecca and Tyler look forward to the visit, having not spent quality time with their grandparents for some time.
But soon after they arrive, they notice that things are not normal. John gives them a 9:30 bedtime, after which they shouldn't leave their room, which is good considering after that time Doris wanders the house naked scratching on the walls and John fears strangers are following him. While neither grandparent will acknowledge these strange happenings during the day, the kids grow fearful, and for good reason. It will take all they have, plus some help, to make it out of this visit alive. The Visit brings some light horror to theaters already showing a number of other fun movies such as The Perfect Guy, The Transporter: Refueled, A Walk in the Woods, No Escape, and Z for Zachariah.
Bedtime is 9:30
John: I have not seen your Nana this happy in years! Bedtime here is 9:30. It's probably best if you two shouldn't come out of your room after that. See you in the morning.
Tyler: What is that? It's 10:47. We think there's someone outside the door. What the hell was that?!
My Parents Asked if Their Grandchildren Could Visit
Mother: My parents asked if their grandchildren could visit them for a week.
Doris: Here we are!
Rebecca: This is where our mom grew up... I've wanted to spend time with you for so long.
Nana and Pop Pop Are Acting Strange
Mother: It's so weird. I can't see you.
Rebecca: I think I can clean it off.
Mother: Tyler, why are you quiet?
Tyler: Nana and Pop Pop are acting strange. Ow!
Mother: What kind of strange? Becca, did you hit Tyler?
Tyler: Pop Pop wears diapers and he keeps them in an outhouse and Nana walks around at night without her clothes and Pop Pop thinks strangers are following him.
Mother: I know we were going to have this call. They're old, Tyler.
Rebecca: I discussed this with him.
Mother: Old people have trouble with their bodies sometimes. They also aren't very self aware. They can get paranoid too, and, Becca, how strange are they acting?
Rebecca: They haven't been mean one second.
Tyler: Nana crawled after us under the house.
Rebecca: Playing hide and seek.
Mother: You guys played hide and seek under the house? I used to love that!
Tyler: Carrie Underwood
Mother: T, just bear with it for a couple of days! My parents were strange back then. My mom was a hippie. She used to sunbathe in the backyard without warning back then.
Tyler: I'm already partially blind!
Mother: I used to get so embarrassed. They're just weird people, honey. What level problem is this?
Mother: I miss you guys!
Could You Clean the Oven?
Rebecca: Maybe we should go outside and film some evening shots of the house.
Tyler: Okay, so let's do it, big sister.
Doris: Could you clean the oven for me, Becca? Get all the way inside!
Doris: She's done it before.
Tyler: I really should film something outside.
Doris: Do this first.
Rebecca: I'll be quick.
Doris: Oh, this will just take a second.
