Whether it be your lazy coworker who always makes you cover for her, your cheating boyfriend who can't seem to be honest with you, or an overly competitive roommate who can never be happy for you&nbsp;–&nbsp;we all have people in our lives who exhibit these negative qualities. There are a lot of polite things people don't do anymore – either because society has evolved and made it acceptable to not, or simply because they don't want to. Between our technological advances that have made it almost impossible to find someone without a phone in their hand, and feminist movements that have liberated women to empower themselves to fight to be treated the same as men, a&nbsp;lot of etiquette that was once considered proper is overlooked today. When you were little, you probably dreamed of adulthood. The phrase &quot;When I grow up...&quot; was probably tossed around with an air of whimsy and desire that made the progression of days seem more like a fairytale than a slow march towards death. And no matter how much you daydreamed about becoming self-sufficient and successful, there are plenty of adult things you never learned to do that leave you wondering, &quot;WTF, Mom and Dad?&quot;&nbsp;Ultimately, age doesn't matter; as long as you're physically capable, consider yourself age appropriate. But there are tons of things adults do that kids and teenagers never have to think about. Buying a house? Realizing you have back-fat rolls? Dealing with sexual harassment in the office? You may experience any or all of those examples during your career as an adult, and guess what? You won't have any clue what you're doing because no one prepared you for it.&nbsp;Many of the items on this list of things you learn when you grow up can't be taught. No one can really tell you what to expect when you have a baby, but why weren't we taught the best ways to grow our savings accounts? Or how to contribute to a 401k? There should be a class in high school similar to home economics that teaches you smart banking habits, how to file your taxes, and that lets you know one day, 70% of the friends you had will disappear into the murky abyss of social media.&nbsp;Do you ever wonder, &quot;Why didn't anyone teach me that?&quot; We all do! So if you're on board for creating a curriculum that actively scares the crap out of kids who are excited about being adults, you should contribute anything you wish you'd known going into adulthood! We can't promise it'll end up on a whiteboard or finals exam, but feel free to print out this list and hand it to your 10 year old. Now matter how knowledgeable people think they are about the most serious issues in the world, they sure ain’t woke to what’s really going on. From the overfishing of the ocean to how technology is bumming us all out, there are so many things people aren't woke enough about. This lists exists&nbsp;to wake you up and lead you away from the sheeple. We’ve heard enough about the economy and the second amendment to last&nbsp;a lifetime, but what about the issues even woke people need to take more seriously? Since no one else is talking about them, it’s up to this dank list to remove the scales from your eyes and get you woke the f*ck up.Are you tired of politicians not talking about&nbsp;real issues? Have you been waiting for someone to step up and start talking about what’s really going on in the world? So, why do people claim to be good at things when they&#39;re not? Is it social pressure&nbsp;striking fear in their egos? Or is it simply an innocent misjudgment of one&#39;s own abilities? Unless you were permanently scarred and no longer recognizable after giving birth, this is not okay. Auto-Tune is an audio processor created by Antares Audio Technologies which uses a proprietary device to measure and alter pitch in vocal and instrumental music recording and performances. It was originally intended to disguise or correct off-key inaccuracies, allowing vocal tracks to be perfectly tuned despite originally being slightly off-key.
The processor slightly shifts pitches to the nearest true semitone. Auto-Tune can also be used as an effect to distort the human voice when pitch is raised or lowered significantly. The overall effect to the discerning ear can be described as hearing the voice leap from note to note stepwise, like a synthesizer. Auto-Tune is available as a plug-in for professional audio multi-tracking suites used in a studio setting and as a stand-alone, rack-mounted unit for live performance processing. Auto-Tune has become standard equipment in professional recording studios. Instruments like the Peavey AT-2000 guitar are seamlessly using the Auto Tune technology for real time pitch correction.
Auto-Tune was initially created by Andy Hildebrand, an engineer working for Exxon.
