List Rules Upvote the things you think would make Twitter a better platform.
For nearly a decade, Twitter has been an important way for users to directly connect with friends, family, celebrities, and influencers. While things are generally on the rise for the company, there are a few things that Twitter could improve to not only grow as a company, but to keep its users happy by making for a better user experience, which in turn will keep the company relevant.
Here are just a few suggestions (all less than 140 characters!) that will make Twitter better and hopefully will make a difference in keeping the company successful.
Getting Rid of Bots Fake accounts, and even bots to a lesser degree, are generally useless and your Twitter rep could be hurt if you're followed by too many of them.
Improving the While You Were Away Choices Having only a couple of select choices instead of customizing your preferences leaves users sometimes unimpressed by the options presented.
Having Promoted Tweets Fit the User's Interests Branded or promoted tweets are now the norm, but the content should be relevant to the user.
Promoted Tweets of Live Events Organizing live hashtags in a singular place would be an efficient way to find info on a live event.
Organizing Timelines Streamlining timelines would make it easier to access the info you want.
The Ability to Embed Additional Media While you're able to place a photo or additional media on a given tweet, another element to add, like embedding a poll, would help increase engagement.
Extending Timelines on Mobile Scrolling down a timeline could take forever depending on the number people a user follows.
Making Clearer Insights on Tweets A narrower version of insights will make it easier for users to know what their audience is responding to.
Trolling Getting rid of bullying would help Twitter as as whole.
A Save Button This would make it easier to pull out tweets that users like and want to revisit.
Flashback Tweets Like TimeHop, Twitter could do something similar by providing users with a "Flashback Tweet."
Targeted Tweets Targeted tweets from a person or entity with the same interests will keep users active and engaged on the site.
Making a Tweet More Than 140 Characters It's something that's rumored.
