The Wizarding World of the Harry Potter series is a very dangerous place indeed, home to dark wizards like Lord Voldemort as well as a wide array of cursed objects. The majority of dark items came to be as a result of evil wizards' attempts to slay the Muggle population without being implicated by the Ministry of Magic. Other times, evil objects like Horcruxes have heavily impacted the Wizarding World.
Looking at the number of dark magical objects over the years in the Harry Potter universe is a good way to learn just how much sinister material really can be found in the Wizarding World.

Albus Dumbledore Extracted Voldemort's Soul From The Ressurrection Stone Before Destroying The Ring
Voldemort inadvertently turned the Resurrection Stone into a Horcrux when he meant to make Marvolo Gaunt's ring the Horcrux, as the stone was encased within the ring. Dumbledore used Godric Gryffindor's sword to destroy the Horcrux, but the stone remained intact - that's because Dumbledore extracted the soul first.
Dumbledore made sure to remove the soul from the stone because he wanted to use the stone for himself; he destroyed the Horcrux when the soul was only within the ring. The ring bore a permanent deep crack that was inflicted by the sword, but the Resurrection Stone remained free to use.
No other wizard is capable of using Dumbledore's magic, so such a move can never be replicated.

The Black Family Owned A Music Box That Could Potentially Force People To Sleep Forever
The Wizarding World has limited choices when it comes to entertainment since wizards don't use the same technology that Muggles do. Music boxes are popular amongst wizards but can be enchanted to place people in danger.
The Black family owned an enhanced music box whose appearance was so unassuming that Harry and his friends played it, only to realize they had accessed a dark magic item.
The music box emitted a low, sinister tune that instantly began putting everyone in the room to sleep - and would have done so permanently if Ginny hadn't close the box.

Voldemort's Diary Was The Most Evil Horcrux Created
The diary Horcrux was the most malevolent one Voldemort created, having been responsible for the reopening of the Chamber of Secrets when Voldemort's soul nearly possessed Ginny permanently.
It was created with the evilest intentions, as the diary was capable of accessing its targets' deepest thoughts - it could also trick people into doubting their own sanity by creating distrust in everyone around them.
The diary... is a very scary object, a really, really frightening object. Just typing your deepest thoughts into the ether and getting answers back, and you don't know who is answering you.

Poisonous Candles Discreetly Eliminate A Person Through Their Fumes
Candles are among the most discreet methods of claiming lives in the Wizarding World because certain kinds of candles can be enchanted with poison. Poisoned candles can end a person through their fumes, which fill up the room the more the candles burn.
Poisonous candles appear to be relatively easy to find - Borgin and Burkes openly sells them without even bothering to hide them. It's a strange fact since the Ministry of Magic has banned such items due to their dangerous nature.

The Opal Necklace Was Genuinely Valuable And Was Cursed To Harm Rich Muggles
The cursed opal necklace that Draco Malfoy used in his attempt to assassinate Albus Dumbledore had already claimed the lives of as many as 19 Muggles. The necklace was originally a valuable Muggle necklace before it presumably fell into the hands of a wizard who cursed it.
Dark wizards passed the necklace on to numerous unassuming victims, who were cursed as soon as they touched it. Originally, the opal necklace's price was estimated to be as much as 1,500 Galleons.

The Hand Of Glory Supersedes Any Magic To Illuminate Anything In Its Path
The Hand of Glory is a magical object that looks like a shriveled arm and is imbued with dark magic that appears to be impossible to overcome. Draco Malfoy purchased one from Borgin and Burkes and slipped away in front of everyone after Albus Dumbledore's assassination without any issue.
The Hand of Glory can illuminate any path in its way, so much so that any attempt to darken the passage will be futile. The Hand of Glory supersedes Fred and George's Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder, which turns everything pitch black - Malfoy easily walked through it because the Hand of Glory illuminated his way.
The Hand of Glory's most valuable function is that it will only work for the person who commands it, which means the person next to them will effectively be blinded.
