Hagrid would have been a force to be reckoned with had he ever managed to finish his studies and become a fully qualified wizard because he has far more durability than the average person.

As a half-giant, Hagrid is immune to a majority of curses and jinxes, as they just bounce off of him. During Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, a team of Aurors attempt to target Hagrid, only to be defeated because none of them can harm him through magic.

Hagrid's physical superiority means exceptionally powerful or talented wizards like Professor McGonagall, Dumbledore, and Voldemort can harm him because they use Transfiguration rather than jinxes.

The Forbidden Forest is presumed to exist before Hogwarts and said to be extremely massive. It's never been explored in its entirety by wizards because of the many dangers and mysteries that lie within it, as even sunlight doesn't reach the deeper sections.

Hagrid is the only exception, who has traversed the forest in its entirety due to the many connections he's made. Hagrid was on amicable terms with the centaurs and allowed to pass within their boundaries. Plus, he was the only person who could venture into the Acromantula colony. Hagrid knew of a special location to house Grawp nobody else was aware of either.

Hagrid is troubled when Aragog's children bar him from visiting their location after their father's demise because it's the first time he wasn't allowed in a particular area of the forest.

Thestrals are extremely rare, wild creatures that the Ministry of Magic considers to be dangerous because of their link to death. Hagrid tamed one male and five female Thestrals to bring to Hogwarts, who spawned an entire herd.

The Hogwarts Thestrals are the only herd to ever be tamed and used as pets in all of England, and no other cases are known around the world either.

Hagrid is also responsible for bringing Acromantula to England, as the species is native to Borneo. Hagrid released Aragog into the forest before snagging a female Acromantula named Mosag; Aragog and Mosag's resulting colony is the only one to exist in England.

Hagrid is sent to Azkaban prison during Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets when the weak-willed Cornelius Fudge sentences him because he wants to blame someone for the reopening of the chamber.

Hagrid is one of the very few inmates to have kept his sanity in check while surrounded by Dementors, although he was there for a relatively small period of a few months.

Dementors are attracted to people with strong emotions they can feed on, and Hagrid reveals to Harry in Prisoner of Azkaban that the Dementors were angered and nearly revolted against the Ministry when he was released because they were losing a food source.

Magical powers are intrinsic to wizards that can remain dormant until they are provoked out of children. Hagrid never had an incident in his childhood where his emotions were heightened, and his powers didn't manifest.

Hagrid's father didn't mind if his son wasn't magical but was ecstatic when his son received his Hogwarts letter. Hagrid's status as a wizard was confirmed when the letter arrived and he began using his powers when he acquired his wand from Ollivanders.

Hagrid Grew Up Around The Forest Of Dean

Hagrid has the most distinct accent in the series and is noted to have mannerisms that others don't possess. Some of that is because of his half-giant heritage, but it's also because Hagrid isn't from around where everyone is.

Hagrid grew up near the Forest of Dean in West England, which is where he acquired his unique accent. Hagrid's love for the outdoors and forests stems from the fact he was raised in such an environment - he moved to Hogwarts and ventured toward cities like London after he joined the school.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione thus hide in the place that Hagrid came from during Deathly Hallows when they take refuge in the Forest of Dean.
