Dark wizards are in danger of losing their lives if they attempt the Patronus Charm. It was evidenced when an age-old dark wizard named Raczidian did the Patronus spell and was then devoured by maggots that sprouted out of his wand.

Voldemort knows no true happy feeling, nor can he summon any love to empower him to cast the Patronus Charm. He's unaffected by Dementors because his soul is so dark and bleak that the creatures' powers complement his own.

Voldemort's fate is revealed before he actually perishes because the creature Harry sees in limbo is what becomes of the Dark Lord. Voldemort irreparably damages his soul due to the Horcruxes and perishes without repenting for his sins.

A person who is eliminated without a complete soul will be trapped in limbo for eternity. In the end, Voldemort is unable to return as a ghost or move on to the afterlife.

Voldemort is the only wizard ever shown to be capable of taking possession of another living thing. After his body is destroyed in the botched attack on baby Harry, Voldemort flees to the Albanian forests, where he possesses animals.

Voldemort finds possession to be unsatisfactory because the animals perish not long after he takes over their bodies. It's there that he comes across Nagini and the two form a connection. In fact, Voldemort is in possession of Nagini when she attacks Arthur Weasley at the Ministry of Magic.

Voldemort is a unique personality because he's a shrewd tactician but is also highly impulsive due to his destructive emotions. While at Hogwarts, he's forced to conclude that his father was never a Hogwarts student but is still not sure if he was a wizard.

Voldemort learns he's the son of a Muggle man when he visits his maternal uncle. By this point, Voldemort only knows about his maternal family due to his middle name "Marvolo," and learns from his uncle, Morfin Gaunt, that Tom Riddle was his mother Merope's husband.

Voldemort is enraged by his father's identity and decides to head over to the Riddle house and slay his father and grandparents.

Presumably, due to the Horcruxes, Voldemort is functionally immortal to the point where he doesn't need food for survival. According to J.K. Rowling, Voldemort's inhumanity has reached such levels that he is immune to hunger.

Voldemort feels this empowers him further because the need for sustenance is something he perceives as a sign of weakness - his lack of a need for food makes Voldemort feel superior.

The power that Harry has, according to the prophecy, is his ability to love, but it's not just metaphorical. Its use is actually fully seen in Order of the Phoenix. In the climax, Voldemort takes possession of Harry and taunts Dumbledore, but he doesn't just mean to insult him.

At that moment, Voldemort intends to goad Dumbledore into slaying Harry, as he believes that Dumbledore doesn't know about the Horcruxes and will eliminate Harry in order to finish off Voldemort.

Harry's ability to love greatly hurts Voldemort and he's forced to retreat because it's a kind of pain that the Dark Lord has never felt.
