While Mildred just wants justice, Willoughby and the local townsfolk, including Officer Jason Dixon (Sam Rockwell), do not take too kindly to the billboards. So not only does Mildred have to deal with the pain of losing a child, but she also has to deal with retaliation from those in town and out.
