Every year, the top 50 restaurants are ranked by S. Pellegrino and every year we get crazy jealous of whomever gets to eat at all of these great places. Although, ranking the best restaurants in the world seems like a Sisyphean task. How do you compare modern Nordic cuisine to rustic Spanish barbecue? Guess we won’t know until we try, so while you read this list of the top 50 restaurants in the world, we’re going to jet off to El Celler de Can Roca and get started on scarfing down the best food known to man.

We’re just going to break it to you now, there’s no way that whatever normal dinner you eat tonight will even begin to satiate your appetite after you check out this list of the Top 50 Restaurants in the world. Dreamboat eateries like Noma, Biko, and French Laundry are just a few of the entries on this list that’s sure to set your mouth to watering. Whether you prefer haute cuisine or you’re more a fan of contemporary Italian fare, the restaurants on this list are no doubt the best eateries in the world, and we already can’t wait to see what tops the list next year.
