The Top US High Schools With Most Hispanic Students

While most all schools have diversity in their students, according to U.S. News and World Report, these schools are the top U.S. high schools with the most hispanic students. Not only do these schools have a high percentage of students of hispanic heritage, but also rank among the top 100 schools in the country.

Many high schools in US where hispanic-American students enroll have given us many prominent scholars, politicians, sportsmen etc,. Among these top high schools for hispanics, the Hidalgo Early College High School ranks number one with 99.8% of its 893 students being hispanic. Overall, Hidalgo comes in at number 97 on the list of the top 100 high schools in the country based on test scores and college readiness.

The top six schools on this list, each under 1,000 students each, all have hispanic students of over 90% or more. Similarly, the top five schools on the list are located in either Texas or California. Among the top five also includes one school that is among the top 15 high schools in America. The IDEA Academy & College Preparatory, located in Donna, Texas, is fourth for hispanic enrollment, with 95.5% of its 644 students of hispanic origin and ranks 13th among schools in the country.

Though these schools are not defined by the ethnicities of their students, the demographics of the student body is one of several factors ranked on a yearly basis by U.S. News and World Report. Among other things, the publication also ranks the top magnet schools in the United States, the best charter schools in America and the top schools by other ethnicity such as the top U.S. high schools with the most Asian-American students.
