Thrilling and hilarious though it may be, Ant Man and The Wasp's ending left quite a few unanswered questions. Many expected the sequel to explain the connection between Ant-Man and Avengers 4. After all, the second Ant-Man is one of only two films between Avengers: Infinity War and its anticipated sequel. Fans are champing at the bit for any information as to what happened after the infamous snap, and Ant-Man and the Wasp felt like the perfect opportunity to gain a little insight. If nothing else, maybe we could learn where Scott Lang and Clint Barton (Hawkeye) were that whole time.

Unfortunately, while some questions may have been answered, there are quite a few glaring omissions. Due to the madness associated with the Quantum Realm, it's hard to take any developments at face value. From Janet's powers to Sonny Burch's employers, there are several unanswered questions that stumped audiences.

How Did Janet Survive The Quantum Realm?

When Hank finds Janet inside the Quantum Realm, she makes it clear that the strange place changed her in some way. And indeed, once she returns to the normal world, she apparently has some strange healing power that she uses on Ghost.

But that still doesn't explain what she ate and drank for the last thirty years. She still appears to have aged naturally, and it doesn't exactly look like there's a ton of food or water floating around in the space between atoms. The movie gives the impression that they can never take their helmet off even if they could find food. What did Janet do to survive, and will Scott do something similar now that he's trapped?

How Will Scott Escape The Quantum Realm?

Even without an announcement about a third Ant-Man film, it's safe to assume Scott won't simply die in the Quantum Realm. After all, what's the point of keeping him alive at the end of the film, just to kill his character offscreen later? We can assume he'll escape, but how? Janet couldn't do it after 30 years of trying, despite gaining new powers. What is it about Scott that puts him ahead of where Janet was? Is it his suit? Could it be tied into Captain Marvel?

Is That Quantum Tunnel Still Open?

Half of the universe's population may be destroyed, but as far as we can tell, everything else is still around. That includes a massive ant that crushes on electronic drums. Does that mean the Quantum Tunnel is still up and running? On that note, did Cassie survive the snap? Could she find her way into the tunnel somehow? Is that how she eventaully becomes Stature?

How Does The End Tie Into 'Infinity War'?

Obviously, the mid-credits sequence in Ant-Man shows that even the Ant-Man team was affected by Thanos's snap. This puts the film on pretty much the exact same timeline as Infinity War. But beyond that, how exactly do the films tie in? Will the Quantum Realm allow for time travel or hopping between alternate dimensions? There's very little we know about how these two films tie together other than the "deaths" of Janet, Hank, and Hope.

Are Scott And Janet Still Connected?

Due to strange science, Scott and Janet experience some quantum entanglement. At one point, this allows Janet to fully take over Scott's mind and body to help her husband locate her in the Quantum Realm.

Even though she disappeared at the end of Ant-Man, could the link between them still exist? After all, she may merely be in the Soul World, and either way, could a piece of her still be living inside the Quantum Realm? Could that somehow be Scott's ticket out, or the Avengers' ticket into the Soul World?

What Are Janet's New Quantum Powers?

After 30 years of floating around in the Quantum Realm, Janet's biological makeup has changed. Clearly, she's aged three decades or so, but on top of that, she's gained some new super powers. What's never really made clear, however, is what those powers are.

At one point she appears to heal Ghost of her Quantum sickness, but Janet doesn't entirely heal her all the way. Audiences are also expected to assume Janet has other powers, but we never see anything besides the healing. On top of all that, Janet dissipates before revealing her true gifts, so it's fair to wonder if we'll ever learn.
