It's not uncommon for a story to end with a few loose ends left unresolved, and The Legend of Korra is no different in that regard. The series finished with its main narrative largely closed off in a definitive manner, but there still ended up being some lingering questions about the story and the wider world that went unaddressed. Here are a few of those we think should be answered at some point.
How Did Sokka Pass?Photo: The Legend of Korra / Nickelodeon
Sokka is among the many characters of the original series to have passed by the time The Legend of Korra started, but the exact circumstances of his death are never given. There are a lot of theories behind it, but nothing is concrete, and while it's not incredibly important for the story, it would still be nice to know the definitive end of such an important character.A good question?
What Happend To Suki?Photo: Avatar: The Last Airbender / Nickelodeon
Another character from the original series whose fate was left unexplored is Suki, but unlike Sokka, Suki doesn't even get so much as a passing mention in The Legend of Korra. She might not have been as big a player as the rest of Team Avatar, but she was still a valued member and a popular character overall, so it comes off as a little bizarre that the sequel series wouldn't even so much as mention her.A good question?
What’s The State Of The Fire Nation, Post-Hundred Year War?Photo: Avatar: The Last Airbender / Nickelodeon
One of the best parts about The Legend of Korra was seeing how much the world had changed in the decades following the Hundred Year War and the new ways people both did and didn't get along, but the show fell flat in that regard with the Fire Nation. Despite all of the attention given to Republic City, the Water Tribes, and the Earth Kingdom, we never get to see or learn anything about present-day Fire Nation, its current status a complete and utter enigma. Considering how important the Fire Nation was for obvious reasons, it's a rather odd decision to have been made.A good question?
Will The Avatar's Connection To Their Past Lives Be Restored?Photo: The Legend of Korra / Nickelodeon
Another major change The Legend of Korra brought to the series was Korra losing her connection to her past lives in the fight against Unalaq and Vaatu. The series ended without the connection ever being restored, and while it was never stated that it could be restored, it was also never stated that it couldn't be. If it can be restored, is Korra going to be the one to do it, or will it be up to a future Avatar to make it happen? There's no way of knowing, but it's a question people want answered, either way.A good question?
