Who Heads Underground

A group of girlfriends and experienced spelunkers get together for another excursion in hopes of cheering up our protagonist Sarah, who is suffering the loss of her husband and son. Only after the cave's entrance is sealed by a rockslide do the women discover they're exploring an unmarked cavern system, with no map to guide them towards a way out.

What's Lurking Underground

The women soon become hunted by blind, carniverous humanoid creatures that know the caves much better than they do.

Does Anybody See The Light Of Day

Depending on whether you watch the US version or not, all but one of the group makes her way out of the cave after abandoning the other survivor. The UK experienced a much darker ending, where no one reaches the exit, and their survival is ambiguous.

Who Heads Underground

A duo of scientific researchers with their cameraman team up with a group of American cave explorers and divers to explore subterranean caverns beneath a buried 13th century Abbey. Despite a graphic mural in the abbey depicting large, winged creatures in addition to the locals warning of a possible unknown eco-system, the adventurers push forward.

What Lurks Underground

Surprise! The very creatures depicted in the abbey begin picking the group apart, dragging them below the water and snatching them up through the crevices. Somehow worse than that, they also become hosts for a parasite born from the underground environment that turns humans into demons.

Does Anyone See The Light Of Day

A few manage to escape the nightmare caves thanks to the heroic efforts of a teammate, but it doesn't really matter because the parasite leaves the cave too, and its host goes on their merry way to infect humanity.

Actors: Lena Headey, Piper Perabo, Morris Chestnut, Daniel Dae Kim, Eddie Cibrian, + more

Released: 2005

Directed by: Bruce Hunt
