Vote up your favorite reasons why Hufflepuff is clearly the best.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry has four houses that students can be sorted in: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin.
Helga Hufflepuff, the founder of Hufflepuff house, didn't have lofty requirements for entry into her house. She thought all should be supported and taught, and valued fairness and hard work above all else. However, since Hufflepuff house is relatively humble and doesn't have as many key characters in the Harry Potter series, it has a reputation for being the house where dull, dumb, and relatively unwanted students are sorted.
This, of course, is untrue - and fans below will prove to you why Hufflepuff house is criminally underrated and why it's the best house in Hogwarts.
Proud Hufflepuff here. I feel like the general sense of acceptance and open-mindedness in Hufflepuff is more in line with who I am. I do think that Hufflepuffs are underrated, and I really wish the original series had some more prominent Hufflepuffs.
Hufflepuffs value fairness and believe that everyone deserves support. You shouldn't have to be the smartest, the bravest, or the most ambitious. Those things are great, sure, but they believe that everyone has greatness in them, and that hard work and the right support will bring it out.
I think it’s unfortunate they’re underrated because they are a good mix of the other houses. Instead of having a couple of strong character traits that sort them to another house they are more balanced. Brave when needed, always loyal, competitive and shrewd, hard workers, academic, etc. I would rather be a Hufflepuff.
[The] other house founders were snobs and only took a certain kind of people in their house, but Helga Hufflepuff wanted everyone to learn magic and that's why Hufflepuff is such an inclusive house, and I love that!
It is the most inclusive and flexible of all houses so that's the unique trait. And honestly, we need more inclusivity and flexibility in today's age. If someone can challenge rigidity and close mindedness, it's Hufflepuff
Hufflepuff never said she’ll take the ones who aren’t smart, brave, or of pure blood. She said she’ll take those who have all those qualities and she won’t pit them against each other in a battle of which quality is better. She’ll value them for their uniqueness. She’ll value them because they are people who deserve to be valued. That is a Hufflepuff.

The Majority Of Hufflepuff Students Stayed To Protect Hogwarts
I love Hufflepuffs because in Deathly Hollows when they’re evacuating the students and they say adult wizards can stay, it mentions how after Gryffindor, Hufflepuffs had the most students stay to fight.
The difference is motive. Hufflepuffs aren't looking to be brave for the glory, clever for the prestige, or cunning to serve themselves. Instead, they adopt these characteristics if they feel that doing so is for the greater good. The greater good being what a Hufflepuff considers morally right and fair.
Tonks is [an Auror who is] mischievous in a fun way. She likes Lupin despite knowing he is a werewolf and [refuses to abandon her love for him].
Cedric Diggory is mainly known for how his hard work and civility led to being super popular and head boy. He was the sort of person who made decisions because they were the right thing-insisting on sharing the Triwizard Victory and requesting a rematch over the win when Harry was attacked by dementors.
Newt Scamander refuses offers and confronts people (Queenie, Ministry officials) who make morally questionable decisions and is open to all kind of weird animals people would normally despise, and empathizes with Credence and Leta.
