Bleach has always been a beloved anime, but for many fans it's hard not to talk about it without lamenting the fact that it's unfinished. In 2022, the Thousand-Year Blood War Arc will finally be animated. This conflict between the Gotei 13 and the Wandenreich is considered by many to be the best part of the manga. It'll be exciting to see what it looks like in animated form.

  • Demon Slayer is one of the most popular anime in existence, so naturally fans are getting pretty hyped about its upcoming sequel. In this season, Tanjirou, Zenitsu, and Inosuke join Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui in the Entertainment District, where they attempt to locate and destroy a demon that's been wreaking havoc.

The Entertainment District Arc technically premieres on December 5, 2021, but since the majority of the season will air in 2022, it's included here.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 technically aired in Japan in December 2021, but since Americans won't get to see it until March 2022 at the earliest, it counts. The film serves as a prequel to the popular TV anime. It follows Yuuta Okkotsu, a boy who is being haunted by the ghost of his childhood friend. After passing away in a traffic accident, his friend Rika transformed into a horrifying ghost that attacks everyone she thinks could be threatening Yuuta.

Desperate to control Rika and not endanger those around him, Yuuta is happy to be isolated by Jujutsu Sorcerers. But it turns out that Satoru Gojo has other ideas that don't involve being locked away for all eternity.

My Hero Academia returns in Fall 2022 with its sixth season. Exactly how much of the story the new season will cover is still unclear, but since the 5th season left off partway through the Paranormal Liberation War Arc, we can assume that the new season will continue. The League of Villains have taken over the Meta Liberation Army and are now stronger than ever - can the heroes possibly hope to overpower them?

    'Spy x Family'

In Spy x Family, nobody is as they seem. A secret agent named Twilight needs a wife and child in order to infiltrate his enemy's son's school, so he finds a woman who needs a fake husband to impress her friends, and adopts what he thinks is an ordinary orphan.

It turns out that the woman is a secret agent herself whose new family is a convenient cover for her mission, and that the little girl is secretly an esper who knows exactly what her parents are up to.

  • 'The Rising of the Shield Hero' Season 2

The Rising of the Shield Hero was supposed to get a second season in 2021, but it has been delayed until spring 2022.

Hopefully, the continuation of Naofumi's dark journey throughout Melromarc will be worth the wait.
