With a total of 65 movies grossing over $100 million worldwide and a variety of box office records, 2016 set the bar high for this year's films. Luckily, the most anticipated movies of 2017 feature sequels fans can't miss out on and several long-awaited reboots. Mark your calendars: this is a list of upcoming 2017 movies you'll want to catch in theaters. Once again, superhero movies are surely to top the list of this year's upcoming films. On November 17, DC superheroes like Batman, Wonder Woman, and the Flash will finally share the screen for Justice League. Gal Gadot will also be making her lead debut in the female superhero movie Wonder Woman. However, Marvel will also be releasing a few of their own, including the highly anticipated Spider-Man: Homecoming starring Tom Holland as the web-slinger and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 with Chris Pratt.

In addition to Cars 3, Pixar will unveil Coco, their latest original movie, on November 22. Gru and his Minions are also returning for Despicable Me 3 where they will face a new supervillain voiced by South Park co-creator Trey Parker.

Hollywood studios are still pumping out sequels and reboots. Vin Diesel is back for The Fate of the Furious, the eighth movie in the action franchise. On June 9, The Mummy gets a re-imagining with Tom Cruise and Russell Crowe starring. We also can't forget about Star Wars: Episode VIII, which stars the late Carrie Fisher.
