The Most Anticipated New Sci-Fi & Fantasy TV Shows of 2020

In 2020 we began living in the future. Even though 2020 didn't't turn out like science fiction predicted, there's no way the past could predict how great some of the most anticipated shows of 2020 would be. From favorite franchises and adaptations taking their stories to the small screen to new stories, 2020's science fiction TV shows and fantasy series were making today's future something to look forward to.
Snowpiercer is both an adaptation of a French comic book series and a reboot of the 2013 film's continuity, is a post-apocalyptic dystopian thriller that blends gorgeous imagery with a cold (both emotionally and climate-wise) future. Television adaptations of science fiction novel classics such as the Foundation series and Brave New World joined 2020's TV lineup alongside adaptations of much-loved fantasy novels such as The Watch and The Wheel Of Time.
But even with the anticipation of returns from shows such as Battlestar Galactica, there are new fantasy and sci-fi series to look forward to as well. The sci-fi comedy series Avenue 5 takes a humorous look at space tourism, while Raised By Wolves will bring the drama from creators Ridley Scott and Aaron Guzikowski . There are also family-friendly fantasy and science fiction series such as The Fungies and Monsters At Work. The musical dramedy Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist also offers a more lighthearted take on the genre.
